Creator Payout Policy
This Creator Payout Policy explains how eligible Creator earnings are calculated, when they become payout-eligible, and how Go Viral processes Creator payouts. It is intended for the public payout page and in-app linking. If this Policy conflicts with the Creator Agreement, the Creator Agreement controls.
1. HOW CREATORS EARN
Creators may earn from the following supported channels:
- Content Unlocks. Fans unlock eligible Creator content with Tokens at prices determined by the Scale of Fame. The Creator share is 80% on standard unlocks and 75% on content in the 500,000+ view tier.
- Tips. Tips paid in Tokens are split 80% to the Creator and 20% to Go Viral.
- Go Viral Live. Live viewing is metered at 50 Tokens per whole minute. The system deducts 50 Tokens at each completed minute mark; no partial-minute proration applies. Eligible Live revenue splits 50% to the Creator and 50% to Go Viral.
- Live Replays. Eligible ended live streams post to the feed as replay-class content and enter the Scale of Fame monetization flow.
Fan-to-Creator messaging after the Fan's initial 500 free words is Platform revenue. Creator replies are free, and messaging Token revenue is not included in Creator payout earnings.
2. TOKEN CASH-OUT VALUE
50 Tokens = $1.00 USD. The Creator cash-out value is fixed at $0.02 per Token. The same conversion source used by the payout system must be reflected on Creator-facing payout screens so displayed values do not disagree with payout calculations. Internal ledger calculations retain sufficient precision and are not rounded at intermediate steps. At payout-batch conversion, the Creator's aggregate payout-eligible amount is converted at $0.02 per Token and the final USD payout is rounded to the nearest cent using standard half-up rounding.
3. EARNED DOES NOT ALWAYS MEAN PAYOUT-ELIGIBLE YET
A Creator may economically earn an amount before the underlying consumer revenue has fully settled. Go Viral therefore separates Creator earnings into payout states:
- PENDING - the Creator has economically earned the amount, but settlement, reconciliation, or required risk review is not complete.
- CLEARED - the underlying revenue and transaction have passed required settlement and reconciliation checks.
- AVAILABLE FOR MONEY MONDAY - the amount is cleared, meets the minimum and timing requirements, is not subject to an authorized hold, and is eligible for an approved payout batch.
Go Viral does not treat unsettled Apple/In-App Purchase proceeds as unrestricted funds available for Creator payouts. Creator payouts are funded from cleared and settled Platform revenue attributable to the underlying monetization activity, net of applicable Platform commissions, reversals, holds, and authorized adjustments.
4. MONEY MONDAY - STANDARD PAYOUT SCHEDULE
After a Creator's first eligible payout, standard Creator payouts are processed on a biweekly Monday cycle called Money Monday.
- Payouts are processed every other Monday.
- Payout requests must be submitted by Monday at 11:59 PM Eastern Time, one week before the Money Monday on which the Creator seeks payment.
- A request submitted after the deadline rolls to the following Money Monday cycle.
- Payouts are requested by the Creator; they are not automatically released solely because a Creator balance exists.
5. FIRST PAYOUT TIMING
Founding Creators. A Creator activated from Launch Day 0 through Day 90 inclusive is a Founding Creator. A Founding Creator's first payout becomes eligible no earlier than 75-90 days after that Creator's first recorded earnings, subject to settled-revenue requirements and all other payout eligibility requirements. A Creator who activates on Day 90 and records first earnings on Day 90 remains in the Founding Creator cohort and remains subject to this 75-90 day first-payout rule.
Creators Joining Beginning Day 91. A Creator activated beginning Launch Day 91 becomes eligible for a first payout 30 days after first recorded earnings, subject to all other payout requirements. That first payout is processed on the applicable Money Monday on or after day 30. After either cohort completes its first eligible payout, that Creator enters the standard biweekly Money Monday cycle. These cohort rules are date-driven and do not require a manual backend change after Day 90.
6. MINIMUM PAYOUT
The minimum payout is 2,500 Tokens ($50.00 USD). Amounts below the minimum remain in the Creator's eligible balance and may roll forward until the threshold and other payout conditions are satisfied.
7. PAYOUT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
A payout request may enter a Money Monday batch only when:
- The Creator has completed required Creator onboarding and maintains the payout verification state required for payment.
- Stripe Connect reports payouts as enabled for the Creator account.
- The amount satisfies the $50 / 2,500-Token minimum.
- The applicable request deadline has been met.
- The underlying revenue has cleared and settled.
- The amount is not subject to a documented fraud, chargeback, reversal, legal, compliance, failed-delivery, or other authorized hold or adjustment.
- A human administrator approves the final payout batch.
8. STRIPE CONNECT
Creator payouts are delivered through Stripe Connect to the Creator's linked payout account. Stripe hosts the identity verification, tax, and bank-account onboarding process. Go Viral's Platform database is designed to store only the minimum payout orchestration state, including the Creator's Stripe account identifier and payout-enabled status, rather than bank account numbers, Social Security numbers, or identity-document scans.
Stripe may request tax forms such as W-9 or W-8BEN and may provide supported tax-reporting documents where required. The specific tax form, reporting threshold, and reporting party depend on applicable law and the payment structure; this Policy does not guarantee that every Creator will receive a particular tax form.
9. HUMAN REVIEW AND AUTHORIZED HOLDS
Every payout batch requires human administrator review and approval before funds are released. No automatic approval path is permitted for the final batch release.
Go Viral may delay, hold, reverse, or adjust a payout when supported by transaction records, fraud review, chargebacks, payment reversals, failed-delivery remediation, legal process, compliance requirements, or the Creator Agreement. Go Viral will provide truthful status information where a payout is delayed or cannot be processed.
10. SETTLEMENT & REVERSAL RESERVE
Go Viral maintains an internal starting reserve equal to 2% of applicable consumer Token revenue for settlement adjustments, reversals, chargebacks, failed-delivery remediation, and fraud loss. The reserve is funded when the underlying applicable consumer revenue has cleared and settled to Go Viral; utilized only for actual qualifying losses; and any unused amount is released to Platform-available cash 90 days after the underlying revenue reaches settled/cleared status, using rolling settlement cohorts. The reserve is Platform-level restricted cash, not Creator-owned funds. Creator/transaction attribution may be tracked for audit and reconciliation, but the reserve does not reduce the Creator's contractual 80%, 75%, or 50% economic share.
11. PAYOUT DELIVERY
After an approved Money Monday batch is released through Stripe Connect, bank arrival is generally expected within approximately 1-2 business days, subject to Stripe processing, the Creator's financial institution, holidays, verification status, compliance review, and other circumstances outside Go Viral's direct control.
12. CREATOR PAYOUT SCREEN
The Creator payout surface should display payout information from the same Platform settings used by the actual payout logic. Required informational copy: "50 tokens = $1.00 USD. Minimum payout 2,500 tokens ($50). Requests close Monday 11:59 PM ET and are paid on the next Money Monday."
The Creator-facing balance and payout surfaces should distinguish earned balances from amounts that are currently payout-eligible, so a Creator is not shown an unsettled amount as immediately withdrawable.
13. PAYMENT REVERSALS, CHARGEBACKS, AND FAILED DELIVERY
Consumer purchases supporting Creator earnings may be processed through Apple In-App Purchase where required. Refunds, reversals, chargebacks, failed-delivery corrections, fraud adjustments, and similar transaction events may affect settlement and payout eligibility. Adjustments must be supported by the Platform ledger and applicable agreements; they may not arbitrarily reduce the Creator's contractual share.
14. NO GUARANTEE OF A PARTICULAR BANK ARRIVAL DATE
Go Viral commits to operating the Money Monday schedule and payout controls described in this Policy, but does not guarantee that every payout will arrive on an exact bank-posting date. Delays may occur because of settlement, Stripe processing, bank processing, verification, legal requirements, fraud review, or other circumstances.
